Questions & Answers

How often should my piano be tuned?

Most pianos in homes need tuning once or twice a year. Pianos that are played heavily, used for performances, or kept in rooms with big swings in temperature and humidity — common in the Redding area — benefit from more frequent visits.

How long does a tuning take?

A standard tuning usually takes around an hour to an hour and a half. A piano that hasn't been tuned in a long time may need a pitch raise first, which takes a little longer.

I just moved my piano. When should I have it tuned?

Give it two to three weeks to settle into its new room, then book a tuning. Tuning right after a move often doesn't hold as well.

Do you travel outside Redding?

Yes. Besides Redding and the North State, I travel to Sacramento and the surrounding foothills, the San Francisco Bay Area, and Southern Oregon around Medford, Ashland and Grants Pass. Send me a message with your town and I'll let you know.

How do I book?

Message me on Facebook with your town, the type of piano you have, and a few times that work for you. I'll reply to confirm the details.
